Peter and Lindsey, welcome you to their historic guest house. Built in 1820 the Ashlyn is a building of significant architectural importance and is listed by Historic Scotland. The house was originally the residence of the late John Charles a factor of the Hudson Bay Company. The house still maintains the charm of those bygone days with many original features combined with all the modern comforts you would expect in the 21st century. The Ashlyn is superbly located to take advantage of all of Edinburgh's attractions and is within easy walking distance to the city centre and adjacent to the Royal Botanical Gardens. Recognised for continuing high standards of accommodation and housekeeping the Ashlyn has a for many years held a three star award from the Scottish Tourist Board and a four sparkling diamond award from the AA. The Ashlyn has also been recommended by the independent, 'WHICH, Good Bed and Breakfast Guide for a number of years. |
