The Ashlyn is located
just under 1 mile north from Princes Street. Buses 23 and 27 run every
5-10 minutes from just outside the door and the journey time is about
5-7 minutes, or a pleasant 20 minute walk through the historic 'new
town'.
The centre of Edinburgh is now a restricted parking zone. As a result, the immediate area surrounding the Ashlyn Guest House is subject to parking restrictions from 07.30 till 18.30 weekdays only. All restrictions are lifted from 18.30 Friday evenings till 07.30 Monday mornings. However, Free parking is still available within a 5 to 8 minute walk from the house. For guests arriving during the week by car, we suggest you stop outside the house to drop off bags. We will supply a map showing the free parking areas. For guests arriving by plane, the 'Edinburgh Shuttle' is a relatively low cost option for getting to & from the airport. The shuttle has to be booked by either calling 0845 500 5000 or by logging on to www.edinburghshuttle.com Please contact us if you have any questions prior to your arrival |
